When my health stopped me rambling about with my camera, I decided to spend my time photographing the visitors to my garden through the glass of the kitchen window. The birds are especially used to seeing me there and I gradually introduced the Tripod and Canon 7D with 300 mm f4 lens.
Dressing the feeders with greenery made for a more pleasing image.
To capture the birds in flight I used manual focusing and as fast a shutter speed as the lighting conditions would allow.
The first five images are of a Great Tit with eyes bigger than it’s beak !
